Hugh Williams - Partner

Hugh was educated at Eton and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1970. He started this practice in 1973 and his book first written in 1988 “Private Company Secretary’s Manual” is published by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, and is now in its seventh edition.

Hugh has held positions on the committee of the Tax Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and has also addressed the Tax Faculty Conference on tax practice management.

Tim Smith - Partner

Tim Smith is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser.

He has previously worked for KPMG in London and in industry.   He joined H M Williams Chartered Accountants in 1998 and became a partner in 2001.   He is the firm’s audit partner responsible for its larger clients.   He is a trustee of St Petroc’s Society for the single homeless in Cornwall and of the Cornwall Community Foundation.

Our Tax Department is managed by Iain Watson and he is assisted by Ashley Smith.

Our Accounts and VAT department is managed by Sharon Calley and she is assisted by Rachael Holmes, Ben Houston and Lisa Sword.

Our Payroll department is managed by Debbie Johns.
